The Shelter is in constant need of the following items:
  • CLEANING SUPPLIES  (disinfectant, furniture polish, glass cleaner)
  • LAUNDRY SUPPLIES   (detergent, bleach, starch, dryer sheets)
  • MAKEUP
  • WOMENS AND CHILDRENS UNDERGARMENTS(bras, socks, panties, underware, in all sizes)
  • PERSONAL HYGIENE (tampons, kotex, shampoo, hairspray, deodrant, etc...)
  • SMALL APPLIANCES (alarm clocks, hair dryers, curling irons, coffee pots, irons, mixers, can openers)
  • PAPER PRODUCTS (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates, tissues etc...)
  • TRASH BAGS (13 gallon preferred)

All donations are tax deductible.  The Shelter Inc. currently accepts donations of used items(furniture and household items) at Buffalo River Services. All other donations can be taken to Three C's Boutique in the Northgate Plaza Shopping Center. Three C's is the fundraising arm of The Shelter Inc. We are always in need of Women's, Chidren's and men's new or gently used clothing.

Collecting these items can be a community service project for your school group, church group, or civic organization. The Shelter Inc. recogonizes these organizations with a certificate, and will publicly acknowledge their donation and express appreciation in the local newspaper.

Your group might choose to adopt The Shelter and make regular donations of new items on our wish list.  Donations can be made monthly, quarterly, or annualy. These regular donations prevent us from running out of much needed items and are tremendously appreciated by the victims we serve.

The Shelter is currently using the back of Buffalo River Services as a storage facility.  Victims have to start over with nothing. We need furniture, and good used appliances. If you have a donation of furniture please contact Miranda at 931-762-1115
