Welcome to our web site!

Our Mission
Is to provide crisis care, counseling and continuing support for victims of domestic violence, and through community education and advocacy promote the change of social attitudes in order to end the cycle of abuse.

DID YOU KNOW:
Domestic Violence is the leading cause of injury to women, more common than auto accidents, muggings, and cancer combined.

One in every three or four women you know will experience or has experienced constant abuse in her life.

Children who witness domestic abuse often go to prison trying to defend their mothers.

Everyday in this country, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends. (U.S. Department of Justice)

One in ten teenagers will experience some form of physical abuse in their dating relationships. (The Commonwealth Fund Survey of the Health of Adolecent Girls 1977)

All Shelters are not what you have seen on TV. Here are some pictures of our individual bedrooms. All bedrooms have keys that you may choose to lock, either when you are in your room or not.We can supply youth beds and baby beds. The only common areas shared by victims are the living room, kitchen, and toy room.
The Shelter is now a 4 room bedroom facility. We can only house 10 people at any given time. Bed space is not held for anyone. You must first call the crisis line and do a phone interview. The staff person will then tell you if you qualify and where and when to meet a staff person to gain entrance to shelter.
