It is estimated that 600,000 children will be treated for abuse this year. Many will not survive! 50% of teenagers will
experience abuse by the time they are 18.Children raised in violent homes are 6 times more likely to commit suicide, 26 times
more likely to commit sexual assault, 57 times as likely to abuse drugs, and 74 times as likely to commit other violent crimes
against persons.
Please give these silent victims a voice. If the noise you heard next door was from loud music or a wild party what would
you do? 3 children die from child abuse related injuries each day in the U.S.A., if you suspect child abuse or neglect
report it. Children need adults to act on their behalf. To report child abuse contact your local DHS. In Tennessee you may
call1-877-237-0004. For more information on child abuse www.childhelpusa.org.
